We are looking for community-oriented individuals who want to help make BYU a place where everyone can feel belonging. The Office of Belonging was created to assist BYU in constructing "a community of belonging composed of students, faculty, and staff whose hearts are knit together in love" (Statement on Belonging) and teaching the world how to use gospel principles to create unified communities.

At the Office of Belonging we reach our goals through a variety of functions including:

● Events & Campaigns

● Trainings & Education

● Advising & Consultation

● Research & Focus Groups

● Discrimination & Reconciliation Processes

● Clinics & Experiential Learning

As a belonging intern you may be involved in many facets of the belonging-building process. You may help to plan, coordinate and execute on-campus events. You may work with other students at the Office of Belonging to perform research on Belonging topics that will inform future Office initiatives and policy. You may work with several of our administrators and support them in their specific projects including student wellness, education, clinics, and student experiences.

Belonging interns can receive academic credit either through their own college or through STDEV 214R. If you are interested in joining our Belonging team, please apply here If you have any questions, please email Scott Goodwin (scott_goodwin@byu.edu).
